GTL.

Two things I lust after are fashion photography and trashy people.

So, you can imagine my giddiness upon stumbling across
these gems from renowned photographer Terry Richardson:

Only 40 more minutes until the Season Two premiere! If the cast is lookin' as good as they are in these photographs, it will be a damn good season.

Breakfast.

I love eggs. But they are surprisingly difficult to make look pretty.

My favorite lately is Ina Garten's recipe for Herb Baked Eggs. They are so easy to make, taking less than ten minutes start to finish. They always turn out lovely, and being an aesthetic thinker, this highly appeals to me. No scrambling, flipping, or poaching to botch them!

I'm terrible at actually measuring. Just too lazy I think. So I make my eggs the following way:

In an oven-safe dish, add
a plop of butter and a splash of cream. Heat this up under the broiler, melting the butter and heating the dish. Add two eggs, and season to your liking. (I enjoy salt, pepper, and garlic salt.) Put back under the broiler, cooking for about five minutes.

Voila! Easy, fast, cheap, beautiful, and delicious!

I'd Give My Favorite Pair of Pumps.

For interior designers, nothing sells a design better than a rendering. (“Rendering” is a fancy industry term for “sketching”.)

Without proper sketching and rendering skills, an interior designer is utterly useless. It is crucial not only to be able to accurately express your vision, but also quickly. Bosses or clients want to know what exactly is swimming around inside your head.

The beloved Candice Olson has the best hand-rendering skills I’ve ever seen. They border perfectly on fantasy and reality; quite clearly a drawing, they have just enough detail to put them one step closer to photo-realism. They are so delicious I could frame them.

(The preliminary sketch above; the realized design below.)

I couldn’t give my right arm, because I’d need it for rendering, but I would without a doubt give up my favorite pair of pumps for the opportunity to intern with Candice.
